OPEN MIC SESSION:

Movies that are a REAL HIT

A list has been started as a result of an online Open Mic Session.  Here are some suggestions for Hit Movies to show your club.  If you have a suggestion that you want added, let Amy know.

Mamma Mia was a great movie for most of my club. Even a lot of the gentlemen enjoyed it. The new James Bond movies tend to go too fast and weren't as enjoyable for the group.

We recently showed "New in Town" with Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick, Jr. and it was a hit with both male & female members.

The most recent movies we have shown are Australia-everyone loved the movie but it is an extra long film-3 hours. Marley and Me-everyone loved this film!

"The Greatest Game Ever Played" was liked by both the male and female customers. Based on a true story.

Everyone was inspired by the movie "The Pursuit of Happyness", starring Will Smith. This movie is a true story of a man struggling to build a future for himself and his son. He proves that determination is the key to do well in life.

A DVD of The Shoji Tabuchi Show was by far the best thing I have ever shown. Everyone was smiling and clapping for each song and they want me to show more!

Just showed "The Proposal" in August - it was a hit with all of my members! Betty White has a significant role as the grandmother and she is a hoot! Would recommend to anyone.

I showed "RV" with Robin Williams to my group and they thought it was fabulous! Both the men and women liked it. It's a comedy about a dysfunctional family who rents an RV to go on a family vacation to the Colorado Rockies.

I just showed Love Happens with Jennifer Aniston. Everyone really like the movie-more for the ladies than the men-but enjoyed by all. Bring kleenex's deals a bit with grief and some of my group had just lost a spouse but they stil liked the show.

March is my sentimental Tuesday month. All the movies I show that month are oldies. Their favorite : Cheaper by the Dozen, Quiet Man with John Wayne, Easter Parade with Judy Garland . Harvey with Jimmie Stewart, This is a winner with our age group of people.
